BIO
Rob Bailis is a senior scientist at Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), based at SEI’s US Center. Rob holds a PhD in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley. Prior to joining SEI, Rob spent 9 years as a university instructor. His research focuses on the relationships between energy, social welfare, and environmental change in low- and middle-income countries. Rob’s current projects focus mainly on energy transitions including a mix of field-based interventions, policy analyses and modelling studies. He has led or contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications and regularly advises governments and international donors on household energy transitions.
