Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) is planning to invest up to ₹95,000 crore in a new greenfield oil refinery and petrochemical complex near Ramayapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed facility aims to refine 9 million tonnes of crude oil annually and expand BPCL's petrochemical portfolio. This strategic investment aligns with India's vision of becoming a global refining and petrochemical hub.

BPCL is currently evaluating the feasibility of the project, with pre-project activities underway.

The refinery-cum-petrochemical complex is expected to bolster India's refining capacity and contribute to meeting the growing energy demands of the country. The location near Ramayapatnam Port offers logistical advantages for efficient import and export operations.

BPCL's commitment to this project underscores its dedication to strengthening energy security and supporting industrial growth in India. The development is also expected to create significant employment opportunities and stimulate economic activity in the region.

BPCL's investment in this project reflects its proactive approach to addressing India's energy needs and enhancing its position in the global energy market.
