India and Canada reaffirmed their commitment to deepen energy cooperation, focusing on expanding LNG and LPG trade, advancing clean energy technologies, investment in critical minerals and supply chain resilience, and re-establishing the Canada–India Ministerial Energy Dialogue to support mutual energy security and sustainable growth.

India and Canada reinforced their commitment to deepening bilateral energy cooperation at India Energy Week 2026, outlining a shared vision for advancing collaboration across traditional and emerging energy sectors. The joint statement highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation on LNG and LPG trade, accelerate clean energy technologies, and strengthen critical mineral supply chains that support long-term energy security.

The partnership emphasised sustained policy dialogue, investment facilitation and technology exchange as key enablers of growth. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of revitalising institutional frameworks to unlock new opportunities across the energy value chain, aligning energy security with affordability and sustainability goals.
