Indian Oil Corporation has unveiled a major ₹1 lakh crore green energy investment plan to build up to 18 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, marking a significant expansion of its clean energy portfolio and reinforcing its contribution to India’s clean energy transition.

IndianOil has announced an ambitious ₹1 lakh crore investment to develop an 18 GW green energy portfolio by 2030, accelerating its move into renewable power generation and sustainability-focused businesses.

The plan combines strategic acquisitions of existing assets with organic capacity additions, positioning the company to scale up solar and wind power deployment rapidly while enhancing its clean energy footprint. This growth strategy reflects IndianOil’s broader commitment to diversify beyond its traditional refining and fuel marketing base into future-oriented energy solutions.

In tandem with capacity build-out, the company is also advancing plans to list its renewable arm, signalling further market confidence and opening up new avenues for capital to support long-term energy transition objectives.
