He noted India’s refining capacity, expanding LNG infrastructure and deep-sea exploration goals, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to investment-driven growth and global collaboration in the energy sector.

India Energy Week 2026 opened with a strong articulation of India’s growing influence across the global energy landscape, as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the country’s expanding role in energy security, production and exports. Addressing an international audience, he positioned India as a key destination for energy investment and innovation, underpinned by scale, capability and long-term policy clarity.
