Shane McArdle is a recognised leader in driving digital transformation across heavy-asset and carbon-intensive industries. With a career spanning strategy, technical application, consulting, business development, marketing, sales, and operations, he helps organisations adopt Industry 5.0 approaches and realise the potential of digital - making industrial data available for intelligent end-to-end workflows that span planning, deployment, execution and maintenance. Shane began his journey in 2011 with Kongsberg Oil & Gas - a precursor to Kongsberg Digital - and went on to lead Kongsberg Digital’s Digital Energy division before being appointed CEO in 2022. Beyond his leadership at Kongsberg Digital, he serves on the boards of Ledaflow Technologies and FutureOn, contributing his expertise to the wider industry. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, which underpins his deep knowledge of data management, analytics, physical modelling, and the Industrial Internet of Things.
