With more than 38 years of industry experience, Amitabha is recognized for his expertise in building and leading high-performing global engineering teams, establishing world-class engineering offices supporting the delivery of complex EPCI projects through multi-office execution strategies.

In his current role, Amitabha provides strategic oversight across McDermott’s Subsea and Floating Facilities engineering offices worldwide, driving excellence in people, processes, and tools. His leadership ensures seamless integration of engineering with procurement, fabrication, marine operations, hook-up, and commissioning, enabling efficient and high-quality project delivery.

Before joining McDermott in 2007, Amitabha worked for Engineers India Limited in New Delhi. His international career spans India, France, Qatar, Algeria, UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, the USA, and Malaysia, reflecting a deep understanding of global project execution and multicultural team dynamics.

Amitabha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Tripura, a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from IIT Delhi, and an MBA from Arcadia University in the United States.
