Anoop Naik is a seasoned Project and Operations Management professional with 30 years of diverse experience. Renowned for his exceptional planning and problem-solving abilities, he excels in enhancing business strategies and driving operational excellence. Results-driven and resilient, Anoop is adept at developing effective policies and processes that promote continual improvement and productivity. With a deep understanding of pipeline construction and operations, he combines outstanding communication skills with a talent for identifying improvement opportunities and implementing strategic changes. His leadership inspires teams to achieve their highest potential while advancing organizational goals. He is a pivotal force in enhancing Safety and Reliability Culture, developing robust Asset Life Cycle management strategies, and spearheading initiatives in cybersecurity and digital transformation at PIL. Under his leadership, PIL identified key areas for enhancing energy efficiency as a vital step toward renewable energy adoption, developing targeted strategies for the short, medium, and long term. He is also driving IT & OT integrated strategy for PIL which will bring continual improvement making use of synergies in skill sets & processes which will enable future ready organisation moving towards Digital twin/ predictive analysis for Asset Management.
Anoop began his career as a Management Trainee in Inspection before becoming an Inspection Engineer at Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), a Swiss third-party inspection company. He then spent 10 years at GR Engineering Ltd as a Project Manager, focusing on refinery and petrochemical projects. In 2008, he joined Reliance, where he held various key roles, including Head of Operation Planning, Technical Services, and Remote Operations for pipelines. Currently, Anoop serves as the Chief Technical Officer at PIL, overseeing HSSE, Technical Services, Projects, IT & OT including network and cybersecurity, Technology integration, and Vendor Management.
Anoop holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has completed advanced courses at renowned institutions, including Asset Integrity Management in Asia (2013) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Maintenance Integrity Management for the Oil and Gas Industry (2018) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
