Biswanath is the Director Exploration in Cairn Oil and Gas, Vedanta Limited. He leads the exploration projects in the organization to unlock value for growth through exploration. Biswanath has over 24 years of experience in the upstream E&P industry. Biswanath has successfully delivered several projects across multiple basins/areas in India and abroad across onshore, offshore and deepwater areas. He is a key contributor to pioneering hydrocarbon discoveries in multiple regions including those in Barmer, Cambay, KG basin, Mannar Basin- Sri Lanka etc. Biswanath is a gold medalist and holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Geophysics from IIT-ISM Dhanbad.
