Mr. D V Shastry is an astute professional leader with more than 40 years of multifarious experience in Natural Gas Industry, encompassing its Technical and Managerial aspects such as Project Management, O&M of Natural Gas Pipelines and Gas Processing Plants, L&D, HR and HRD.

Presently, he is:
(1) the Executive Director, Natural Gas Society – (a Non Profit Organization in Natural Gas Sector)
(2) the Chairman, Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) – Delhi Chapter
(3) Member, BoS (Board of Studies), All India Management Association (AIMA) and
(4) Member, GB (General Body), Foundation for Organizational Research & Education (FORE)

He is the former:
(1) Director on the Board of GAIL Gas Ltd [A subsidiary of GAIL(India) Ltd]
(2) Director (Personnel), ECIL (Electronics Corporation of India) – a CPSE under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India.
(3) Executive Director, GAIL (India) Ltd (A Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas).

He has also been:
(1) A Member of the Technical Committee of:
(a) Future Energy Asia 2024 and 2025, Bangkok,
(b) India Energy Week 2025, New Delhi

(2) A Member of the Jury of:
(a) FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards

He is affiliated with several Professional (Technical & Management) Bodies such as ASME, BIS, FICCI, IIPE, RGIPT, IIM – Nagpur, SHRM, NIPM, NHRDN, etc.

He has been conferred with several Awards like “ISOL Distinguished Scholar” Award, “Asia Pacific Gennext Leadership” Award, “Emerging HRD Thinker” Award, etc.

He has had extensive participation as a speaker as well as a delegate in several National and International Conferences/Seminars and L&D programs in Technical and Management disciplines.

His professional qualifications include: M Tech in Energy Systems Engg. from IIT, Bombay, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management [DIM] and Advanced Certification in HRM [ACHRM].
