Dr. Ashish Rana is a senior energy economist currently working as Vice President, Strategy, Refining Business at Reliance Industries in Mumbai covering Economic and Market Intelligence functions. He has about 26 years of work experience post his Ph.D. from IIM Ahmedabad. He has extensive knowledge of energy markets including oil, natural gas, coal, and electricity sectors. His particular area of interest is long range energy transition outlooks and scenarios. Before his current stint at RIL, he has worked on climate change policy with United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group 3 as Lead Author for Fourth Assessment Report.
