Manish Dabkara is the Chairman & MD of EKI Energy Services Ltd. - a leading Carbon Credit Developer & Supplier across the globe. He founded EKI (erstwhile EnKing International) in the year 2008 with the objective to lead companies worldwide to a future of net-zero carbon emissions. With a deep passion to contribute towards the betterment of planet Earth at its heart, EKI offers strategic services and solutions to organizations for their carbon asset management -including carbon credit generation, supply and offsetting.

Under Manish’s leadership, EKI has grown to become a catalyst for carbon offsets not only within India but globally and has supplied over 200+ million offsets as on date. Today, the company has over 3500 clients across 40+ countries globally.

A subject matter expert in the field of energy, climate change, carbon and quality management, Manish is a Certified Energy Auditor & Manager under Govt. of India’s - Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Ministry of Power). He also has certifications in quality and management from IIM-A, IIM Indore, CII and GIZ, in addition to a Masters in Technology in Energy Management.

He continues to be among Fortune's 40Under40 for the year 2023, having already been included in the list in 2022 as well. He was also awarded as the 'Global Net Zero Champion of the Year' award by Environmental Finance in September 2023. Manish is also the first President-elect of the Carbon Markets Association of India (CMAI) – a strategic alliance of India’s climate market experts. Manish is a recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 2014 & Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Achievements in Business “Climate Change – International Industry” by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi.

Mr. Dabkara went on to become the Co-Chair of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry’s (FICCI) Madhya Pradesh State Council. He is also a Charter Member with the state unit of TiE Global (TiE Madhya Pradesh) – an organization with the mission of fostering entrepreneurship, through mentoring, networking and education. He is also the Chair of Subgroup on Regulatory Carbon Credit under National Committee on Bioenergy at Confederation of Indian Industry.

Manish is amongst India’s Top 15 self-made rich under the age of 40, ranking 13th in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India 40 and Under Self-Made Rich List 2022. He also ranks in the Hurun India Rich List 2023. He is the only businessman from the climate change and carbon credit industry in the list and he is also the only industrialist from a non-technology background to be ranked amongst the top. Recently, he is also been awarded as Hurun India Impact Entrepreneur of the Year 2022.

He is currently based in Indore and when not immersed in innovating and developing new end-to-end solutions for carbon offset, Manish keeps himself busy as the doting father to his two children - Prisha and Krishiv.
