Rajmohan has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, specialising in the development of power projects. He is currently working as Head – Technology & Renewable Power (Green Hydrogen) at Essar, where he has served for more than two decades. A Mechanical Engineer with specialised training in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, Rajmohan brings deep technical and project execution expertise.

Over his career, he has led the end-to-end development from conceptualisation to commissioning of multiple thermal power projects totalling around 5,000 MW in India for the Essar Group. His notable achievements include:
- Involved in the establishment of a first-of-its-kind 1,010 MW multi-fuel power project, including a coal-fired plant within the Essar Oil refinery complex, supplying both power and steam.
- Design and commissioning of a complex low-grade Waste Heat Recovery Project for Essar Steel Limited, India.
- Contributed to the project development of the 2×600 MW Mahan Power Project in Madhya Pradesh and the 2×600 MW Salaya Power Project in Gujarat.
- Execution of an HFO-based power project at the KPRL refinery in Kenya.
- Implementation of the 465 km Mahan–Sipat Transmission Line and subsequent tariff petition finalisation.

He has played a key role in identifying and bidding for new power projects in India and abroad, overseeing power plant acquisitions, due diligence, techno-commercial analysis, contract review, and risk assessment.

Currently, Rajmohan is associated with Essar Group’s energy transition initiatives, including the development of 1.5 GW Renewable power projects, a 1 MTPA integrated green molecule complex (producing green hydrogen and derivatives such as ammonia and methanol), and a 1 MTPA biofuel complex in India (producing sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel). He was also part of the Essar Renewables team that successfully secured tenders for 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects, now under execution.
