Sangeet Jain is currently a Board member and VP ESG strategy & Alliances, LanzaTech Pvt Ltd., a subsidiary of LanzaTech, Inc.Skokie IL, USA. He joined LanzaTech in 2013 based in Gurgaon. He has held various leadership roles as General Manager and Country Head at LanzaTech and has led it’s technology commercialization efforts in India.
LanzaTech is global leader in gas fermentation technology, offering novel and economic routes to a variety of products, including ethanol and jet fuel, using carbon streams from agriculture residue, urban waste, and CO/CO2 from industrial off gases . Recycling carbon mitigates carbon emissions from industry without adversely impacting food or land security.
Prior to LanzaTech, Sangeet spent 25 years at India Glycols Limited, a chemicals company with focus on manufacturing low carbon footprint chemicals and using renewable resources as feedstock. In his long stint at India Glycols his key contributions included start-ups / commissioning of various commodity & speciality chemical units , developing teams for efficient plant operations and supporting market development for Green Chemicals.
Sangeet completed his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering at IT-BHU Varanasi in 1986
