Vivek Neelam is the Head of Gas and Power Procurement at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited, where he drives the company’s energy sourcing strategy across natural gas, power, domestic coal, and liquid fuels. With a career spanning over two decades, Vivek has built a reputation for navigating complex energy markets and delivering procurement solutions that balance cost, reliability, and sustainability.
Prior to joining AM/NS India, he held pivotal roles at GAIL (India) Limited and GAIL Global (Singapore), where he managed international LNG trading and led strategic negotiations across global energy portfolios. His experience in both domestic and international markets gives him a unique edge in aligning procurement with operational and environmental goals.
Vivek earned his MBA from IIT, Kanpur, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering. Known for his analytical rigor and collaborative leadership, he plays a key role in aligning energy procurement with the company’s sustainability goals and long-term growth strategy.
