Subramani Ramachandrappa has over 20 years of experience in the biotech sector. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Fermbox Bio, a biotech research and manufacturing company dedicated to developing sustainable, bio-based products to traditional products and processes. Fermbox Bio utilizes its Synbio platform and precision fermentation technologies to replace petrochemical, animal, and plant-derived materials with next-gen, synbio-based products, enabling industries to adopt more sustainable practices.
Previously, he was the Founder, Board Member, and Chairman of Laurus Bio (formerly Richcore Lifesciences), leading advancements in animal-origin-free recombinant proteins and enzymes while expanding into CDMO services for the biopharma and novel food industries. He has also served as Principal Consultant - Biomanufacturing at BIRAC, Treasurer and Executive Council Member at ABLE (Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises).
