Dr. Pankaj Sharma is a distinguished energy veteran with over 37 years of leadership as a recognized authority on business and policy frameworks within the energy landscape. As the former Additional Director (Demand & Economic Studies) at the PPAC, he played a pivotal role in energy modelling, decarbonization and data analytics.

His extensive career includes high-impact tenures at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, where he led diverse teams across Petroleum Retailing and B2B segments. Dr. Sharma’s expertise lies at the intersection of data-driven governance and sustainable growth, with a specialized focus on Energy Transition, Biofuels, and Climate Change mitigation.

He holds a PhD in Economics from Agra University and an MBA from Aligarh Muslim University, blending rigorous academic insight with decades of "on-the-ground" operational excellence. Currently, Dr. Sharma serves as a consultant with PPAC, helping navigate energy modelling, and the evolution of the energy landscape.
