Shri Goutom Chakraborty, an Electrical Engineer with MBA in Marketing has rich and diverse experience encompassing more than 33 years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors. He has been involved in diverse functions such as O&M of Cross-Country Natural Gas Pipeline & GPU, Renewable portfolio of GAIL in Wind & Solar Energy, and City Gas Distribution (CGD).

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, Shri Chakraborty has been leading the company since April 2023. Prior to this role, he held the position of Executive Director, overseeing the O&M function and CGD business vertical at GAIL (India) Limited.

In addition to his responsibilities at GAIL Gas, Mr. Chakraborty provides active guidance to the company's joint ventures (JVs) and serves as the Chairman of Haridwar Natural Gas Private Limited and Purba Bharati Gas Private Limited. He also holds Director position at Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation Limited.
