Mr Loyiso Tyabashe is the Group CEO of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa). A professional engineer with over 25 years of technical and leadership experience in the nuclear industry, Loyiso started his engineering career in the automotive industry before joining South Africa’s electricity utility Eskom’s nuclear business. He has acquired vast global experience from participating in nuclear-related programmes in various countries through the IAEA, WANO, EPRI, to name just a few. He is a member of the World Nuclear University Alumni Board (UK) and KINGS International Advisory Board (South Korea). Loyiso holds a BSc and Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and the Executive Leadership Programme from UCT’s Graduate School of Business.
