Roel Van Doren, Group President – Emerson is based in Emerson European Head Office in Baar, Switzerland, where he previously held the positions of Vice President Northern Europe and President Europe.

Roel leads Emerson’s initiatives to support companies in the process and hybrid industries as they navigate increasingly complex and interconnected challenges. A key area of focus for Roel is driving the Energy Transition in these industries, leveraging Emerson’s transformed portfolio to accelerate sustainable progress.

Roel has been with Emerson for over 30 years, progressing through the organization in various management roles. After ten years with the Belgian organization, Roel moved to the UK and became the General Manager Operations for the UK and Ireland. Subsequently he took an assignment in the US as Vice President of the Refining and Chemical Industry Center before returning to Europe. He was appointed Group President – Emerson in March 2021.

Roel has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
