A 1988 BE(Electronics) from Nagpur University & joined NTPC in the same year as a Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer. Started off as the NTPC batch Silver Medalist and have worked extensively on C&I systems of entire Thermal Power Plants. Have worked on Engineering & Implementation of new plant automation systems as well as Renovation & Modernization of plant C&I systems. Subsequently moved on to overall Project Engineering and Project execution management of complete Thermal Power Plant Projects from Concept to Commissioning and beyond. Have an extensive exposure of more than 30 Years in Power Plant Engineering, Project Management & Execution of different power projects including FGD systems & Solar Photovoltaic Projects.
Presently heading the Nuclear Business vertical of NTPC as Executive Director responsible for establishment of the Nuclear business vertical and starting the first Nuclear Project under Joint Venture with NPCIL and also assigned the role of Project Director for NTPC’s first ever Nuclear Power Plant at Mahi Banswara, Rajasthan.
Previously served as ED (Proj. Mgmat - FGD & New Projects), GM(Proj.) at NTPC Telangana STPP, NTPC Gadarwara STPP, NTPC Talcher Thermal and various other corporate functions of NTPC including international programs like Asia Pacific Partnership For Clean Development & Climate (6 nation initiative) for reduced CO2 emission in coal based projects.
Have extensive international exposure including Germany, US & Japan in various official capacities.
Have been associated with the International Society of Automation, Delhi Section as a founder Member and is presently the District Chair on the ISA APAC Executive board (Asia Pacific Region), and is also associated with CVS as its Fellow Member.
