I hold an MSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany. I managed the EU-funded Bio-Flame project, which aimed at developing environmentally friendly flame retardants, before relocating to Scotland in 2001 to work for an oilfield chemical supplier. I began with Gas Hydrates and now lead a team of 12, managing Paraffin, Asphaltene, Scale, Gas Hydrates, and H2S Scavenger products for the Eastern Hemisphere.

Additionally, I have served as an opponent in PhD defences, reviewed articles in prestigious journals such as Energy and Fuel, and evaluated applications for the Norwegian Research Council.
